A visit from Dan Snow and Lucy Worsley. Podcast now available!

28 Jun 2018

On a rainy day at the end of April, we were delighted to welcome back Jane's Fund Ambassador Lucy Worsley (now OBE - congratulations Lucy!) and historian Dan Snow to the Museum.  The day was not without its drama as Dan was late to the Museum, eventually arriving with what Lucy described as a "fabulously characteristic excuse" - his boat broke down and he was adrift in the Solent!

Boat troubles aside, it was a fantastic afternoon with Lucy giving Dan a tour of Jane's house and discussing her book, Jane Austen At Home. The tour was recorded for Dan's History Hit podcast which is now available to listen to here.  The tour was also filmed for Dan's digital history TV channel, History Hit and will be available to watch soon.

It was a pleasure to welcome Dan and Lucy to the Museum and we were pleased to see that they couldn't leave Jane's house without trying on a bonnet or two!
