Jane Austen's House Museum awarded Resilient Heritage Grant by Heritage Lottery Fund

29 Mar 2018

We are delighted to announce that the Museum has been awarded £92,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for an exciting Resilient Heritage Project.

Our vision is to share Jane Austen's home and legacy, to enrich and inspire the world, and thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, this ambitious project will see the Museum become more sustainable and more resilient.  Running throughout 2018 and 2019, the project will focus on the promotion, protection and public enjoyment of Jane Austen’s home, building on the successes of the 2017 bicentenary year.  From team-wide training to refreshing the Museum's visual identity, the project aims to improve the visitor experience and enhance opportunities to visit and learn about the Museum.

As a small organisation but one of international cultural significance, we are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to further increase the number of people who directly engage with Jane Austen's heritage.
