Joanna Trollope gives 2017 T Edward Carpenter Lecture at NPG

29 Nov 2017

Our annual T Edward Carpenter Memorial Lecture, this year given by novelist Joanna Trollope to a sold out crowd, took place on Thursday 16 November at National Portrait Gallery in London.

Jane's Fund ambassador Joanna Trollope, who updated Sense and Sensibility in 2013, described what it was like to take a novel written in 1809 and make it relevant and sharply observant to contemporary readers.

Thanks to Joanna for an incredibly informative lecture and to all who joined us for what was a wonderful evening!
