Museum Closed, Reopening 3 March

5 Jan 2017

Happy New Year to you all from Jane Austen's House Museum!

2017 marks the bicentenary of Jane Austen's death and we will be filling it with celebrations of her life - please stay tuned for more information.

To allow us to prepare for our commemorations, the museum is NOW CLOSED.

We welcome all to join us from our reopening on FRIDAY 3 MARCH to celebrate Jane and to mark this historic bicentenary year.

In the meantime, children and adults alike can get scribbling for the Jane Austen 200 writing competitions, deadline 28 February - click here for more details.

We have also launched Jane's Fund, an appeal to restore and protect the House where she lived and wrote some of her most celebrated works. Donate today to help secure Jane's precious home for future generations.
