2012
Writing Competition - the winners can be read here!
The aim of our competition in 2012,
open to years 7 - 11 (age 11-16), was to encourage
young writers to reflect on our theme this year of
"At Home with the Austens". Jane Austen
lived in Chawton with her mother, sister and her friend
Martha Lloyd. It was the place where Jane felt 'at
home'.
The judges would like to congratulate
the prizewinners on their success and to thank all
those who entered the competition. They were very
impressed with the standard of writing this year and
very much enjoyed reading all the entries. The Jane
Austen Young Writers' Competition 2013 will be launched
later this year. Watch this space for further details!
